Portfolio reviews are common in the world of print comics, but what about webcomics? The creators of the Screen Tones Webcomic podcast are taking sign-ups for WEBCOMIC PORTFOLIO REVIEWS, where you can show us your work and we'll write a summary of the most engaging parts we find, as well as facets to hone to retain readership, increase reader understanding for parts that may be confusing, and other recommendations to help you meet your creative vision and goals!
How it works:
- Webcomic submissions will be taken during our submission period May 1-5, 2026 via the form on this page, where you can share your website, areas to focus on, and other information.
- Due to the limited nature of this event, not all comics submit for a review may be chosen. Preference will be given to webcomics that did not receive a review in 2025, and webcomics with themes and formats that our team has experience with.
- Our team will review the submissions we have received during our review period (May 6-29)
- We will email you our feedback at the end of May/beginning of June.
Requirements:
- Ownership: Please only submit comics that are created by you, or with the consent of your creator team. Comics created with generative AI will not be considered.
- Release schedule: We are focusing on comics that have a serialized release schedule on a website or app, as opposed to downloadable PDF chapters
- Minimum page count: Have one full, non-prologue chapter/episode (for longform comics) or 25 strips/updates (for shortform/strip format comics) complete and available to read online. Readable sketched pages are okay, but scripts will be not considered.
- Maximum page count: While we are not setting limits for longer comics, we may limit feedback for longer archives based on our availability
- New comics only: Comics that we have reviewed during a past portfolio review session will not be eligible for review again.
