Today's episode we will be talking about the Found Family trope! As we enter the holiday season, the idea of Found Family is just so important to us as creators, and we want to talk about how you can get those great found family vibes in your story!

Found Family, or Family Of Choice is a trope used in stories that often involve a group of friends who come together closely (either from their journey in the story, or some circumstances to be explained beforehand) and choose each other as their ‘family’. Found Family is just that, family found along the way of a character’s life through bonding, struggle, adventures, and who they choose to be a supporting and loving part of their life. Friends are the family you can choose.
